Poker rake is a standard part of the game and is something all players have to deal with in one way or another. If you’re just starting and have no idea what I’m talking about, rake in poker is a fee that the room or the casino takes as compensation for providing their services and organizing games. The gambling industry is one of the most innovative, creative and forward thinking industry. Rake is like a commission fee that is charged to the game on a per hand basis or on a per game.

  • In the state of Colorado it is perfectly legal to sit down any time with a group of friends and acquaintances and play poker for any stakes you choose. As soon as you rake the pot you are no longer just a private game.
  • In poker, the rake is how the casino or poker site makes money.
